19.1.41 NRx Enhancements

The following was added to comply with the federal Drug Addiction Treatment Act (Data 2000) for office-based dispensing of products containing buprenorphine by prescribers who have met qualifications to receive a waiver. Approved prescribers are issued a DEA number with an X prefix (NADEAN). DEA regulations require both this number along with the existing DEA registration number for prescriptions containing buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid dependence.

Added a DEA X-Waiver option to the Drug Record > Additional Information screen. Select the option for drugs that require the X DEA number to ensure a hard stop on the Prescription if the NADEAN number is blank on the Prescriber Record.

To align functionality of RxRenewal Responses with NewRx, Census, and Resupply Messages, updated the system to prevent the Processed Status from being removed from a Processed RxRenewal Response when a message is deactivated and reactivated in the Mail Scan.

Added a Capsule ER Biphasic option to Unit and Alt Unit dropdowns on the Drug Record.

Fixed an issue with the Drug Unit being removed and drug imprint information not saving on the Drug Record for certain drugs after using QS1 Direct Data Update.

The Workflow Daily Audit Report is a report that many pharmacies print and sign at the end of each day. Added this report to the Report Scheduler so that this essential report can be run automatically. This report can be found under the Management Reports section of the Report Scheduler.

Added Rx Audit to the offering of file choices in System Utilities > Master File Maintenance > Maintenance Scheduler so the system can regularly maintain the file and prevent it from becoming too large and causing performance issues.

Schedule the automatic file purge based on Frequency, Next Run Date, and Run Time. Then, enter the number of years to keep.

If the Rx Audit file is too large to compress, or is unable to automatically compress during the File Maintenance Scheduler process, an alert displays for the administrator upon login.

Price Plan setups for claims, data collection, and ePrescribing each contain a transmission program unique to the task the plan is used for (Store Level Options > Fastclaim). Updated the following scans to only display the plans containing the transmission program that pertains to the task pertinent to that scan. Therefore, the proper plan/transmission program can easily be selected during setup, eliminating possible issues during transmission, such as claims being stuck in a Ready status.

Updated the QS1 Mail Price Plan scan accessed via Store Level Options > Fastclaim, to only display Price Plans with an FRXI carrier transmission program.

Updated the Default Carrier Plans and Data Collection Carrier Plan scans accessed via Store Level Options > Fastclaim, to only display Price Plans with a carrier transmission program of QSID.

Added Carrier Plan as an optional column to the Price Plan scan. This option was added to improve the setup and troubleshooting process for data collection and/or ePrescribing.

Added a Delivery Route label routine, 812, to print the Delivery Route from the Transaction > Delivery Information screen.

Added three options: Print Date/Time Due on Delivery Sheet, Print Date/Time to Deliver on Delivery Sheet, and Print Delivery Route on Delivery Sheet to Store Control > Store Level Options > Delivery Information screen. All default to unchecked.

To print Delivery Route from the Transaction with routine 812, select the, Print Delivery Route on Delivery Sheet, option in Store Control. The verbiage, ROUTE, prints with the name from the Transaction, up to 25 characters. Note: Fill List Delivery Sheets pull the route from the Facility Record.

If Print Date/Time Due on Delivery Sheet is selected, Date/Time Due: MMDDYYYY HH:MM prints. This value is calculated at the time of fill and prints below the Route. If the Date/Time is different for one or more prescriptions, they print on a separate page. In this scenario, Delivery Sheets must be sorted with the NPG (New Page) option set for Date/Time to ensure the correct date/time print on each page header.

If Print Date/Time to Deliver on Delivery Sheet is selected, the verbiage, Delivery Date, and the date/time from the Consolidate WF Delivery Sheet comments window print.

The new options can be printed on all Delivery Sheets with the exception of Enhanced Delivery Sheets.

Added the following to provide capability to print RSA education material handouts for patients who qualify. Note: Must be authorized for RSA Shingles Education.

Added an RSA Education Materials option to Printer Selection > Default Printers and Printer Selection > Workstation Printing windows.

Added an RSA Education Materials option to the Print menu on the MTM Opportunity Details window.

Added a Print RSA Education Materials button to the MTM Opportunity Alert window. Select to print RSA education materials that correspond to the Medication Therapy Management (MTM) type.

Added the following to meet legal requirements for reporting prescriptions for animals.

Store Level Options

 

Added a State Specific Report Options link to the Controlled Substance Options window in Store Control > Store Level Options. Select to access the new State Specific Report Options window. The Report Animal Patient's Information instead of Animal's Owner option is checked for South Carolina, Massachusetts, and Tennessee because these states require reporting the animal patient's information. For all other states, the option defaults to unchecked.

Store-side Manual Reporting/Data Collection

 

Updated the system to send the following fields/values for PMP reporting when using state codes PM4/PM7 and using versions 4.2A and 4.2B as well as data collection for South Carolina, Massachusetts, and Tennessee when reporting a prescription for an animal:

• PAT07 (Last Name) = Animal last name or owner's if blank

• PAT08 (First Name) = Animal first name or owner's if blank

• PAT18 (Date of Birth) = Animal date of birth or owner's if blank

• PAT19 (Gender Code) = U for Unknown

• PAT23 (Name of Animal) = First and last name of the animal up to 30 characters

When data is needed about Account Number, Admit Date, Discharge Date, Alternate Medical Conditions, etc., the Rx Transaction File needs access to the Patient Chart Gen File. Added the Patient Chart Gen as a File Choice when running a Custom Report based on the Rx Transaction File.

Expanded the Employee Email field to allow up to 80 characters.

Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requires manufacturers to provide a 2D Data Matrix barcode on all products in 2023. Implemented the following to ensure the readability of these barcodes.

Added the ability to scan a 2D Data Matrix barcode (14 numeric character GTIN key) at the Drug Search/Scan, NDC Verification (Label and Dispensing/Quality Assurance), and Order Entry.

Added the customer system ID to the top bar of the Data Export app.
