QS/1 recommends that certain reports be executed on a daily basis. The reports include the Management/Daily Audit Report, Third Party/Electronic Reject Resolution Report, Prescription/Narcotics Reports and Management/Revenue Report.
The Daily Audit Report prints a list of transactions completed for the day, or days, selected. It provides a total of all prescriptions filled by each pharmacist. This report may be printed from Prescription Reports or Management Reports. However, when printed from Prescription Reports, only transactions are listed. When printed from Management Reports, the report shows transactions in dollar figures and the Transaction Signature Log prints after the report if the option Print Totals Only = NO.
Electronic Reject Resolution Report
The Electronic Reject Resolution Report provides an explanation for each rejection currently recorded in the Electronic Claims Log. Use this report to make corrections and resubmit the claims.
The Narcotics Report prints a list of all narcotic and controlled drugs filled on a particular date or date range. This list also shows the initials of the pharmacist who filled/refilled each prescription. This report is legally mandated and states generally specify a required reporting date range.
The Revenue Report prints revenue details (positive/negative margins) for selected prescriptions.
