19.1.45 NRx Enhancements

Added a message "A Cancel Rx message has been received for this prescription" to display in the Label and Dispensing Queue of Workflow. The message is prompted once a row is selected, the prescription number is selected in the search bar, and Process is selected, or a barcode is scanned to automatically select a prescription. Enabling this message to display earlier in the Workflow process enables a higher level of time efficiency for your pharmacy.

To mirror the ability to update Prescriber and Facility Options with Electronic Data Updates, added the ability to choose which Patient fields to update from NCPDP Messages.

Patient Update Options

Added New Patient Update Options menu option to System Utilities > Data Updates > Electronic Data Updates. Select to access The Patient Update Options screen and select which e-Prescribing options to update when adding a new patient from a New Script Census Message, or New Script NewRx Message. Default for each option = Checked.

Census New Script Change/Update and Admit Patient

Depending on the options selected on the Patient Update Options screen, the 2017071 Census Admit Patient and 2017071 Census Change/Update Patient Records updates with the information from the electronic message. This occurs when adding a new patient or updating an existing patient while entering a new order.

When sending Electronic Refill Requests via the HealthMinder Report, the Print Option, Snd Refill Req, is used to determine whether to request refills or not. Previously, setting the option to YES set the number of refills requested to 0, prompting the prescriber to only fill one refill at a time. Updated the option to allow a number of refills to be requested for the electronic refill request. Type Y##, where ## equals the number of refills requested.

Snd Refill Req

• YES - Sends refill request of 0 (continues with previous functionality)
• NO - Sends no refill requests (continues with previous functionality)
• Y## - Sends the number of refills requested in the second and third positions (new functionality)

Added logic to the Error Resolution Correction feature to add the Delivery Route to Workflow and/or Transaction Records for InstantFill prescriptions. This is helpful if your pharmacy wishes to print Delivery Sheets by Delivery Route and/or sort the Workflow Queue by Delivery Route. Previously, the Delivery Route was only added to these records for non-InstantFill prescriptions.

To comply with federal and/or state prescribing laws, updated the system to always print the prescriber's name on the label when using label routines 11, 394, and 400. The first initial of the first name, followed by a period, single space, and the last name (up to 9 characters) from the Prescriber Record prints if the Prescriber Name field is blank.

Improved inventory ordering for host/remote setups by ensuring the correct Vendor Record is used when ordering, as well as loading 835 files to the correct store.

Vendor Record

Added an Assigned Store drop-down list to the Vendor Record > Electronic Order screen. Default = Not Specified. All available host/remote locations are listed. If Not Specified is selected, previous functionality resumes and lists all vendors during vendor selection.

Sending an Order (Inventory > Electronic Drug Reorder > Send an Order)

Once Finish is selected, the system checks the assigned store for the vendor. If the new Assigned Store option is set to one of the host or remote locations, the vendor selection will only list the vendors that are assigned to the store the user is logged into.

Receiving Wholesaler Report (Inventory > Electronic Drug Reorder > Receive Wholesaler Reports)

Updated the Wholesaler Report to only display Vendor Records that are set to Not Specified for the new Assigned Store option or that are assigned to the store the user is logged into.

To comply with state Board of Pharmacy requirements, updated the Transfer Form to print the To/From information for the pharmacy, along with the patient address when transferring more than one prescription at a time or when printing one prescription per page.

To comply with legal requirements, updated real-time PDMP reporting to use format 4.2 for Missouri. Updates were only necessary for PowerLine; no updates were made to your pharmacy system.

Changes have been made to the web services gateway and to your pharmacy software to support the following:

• Name = Enterprise Name
• External ID = PTRK ID
• Enterprise RAK
• Secondary Name

• Unit ID = Pharmacy ID
• Unit Name = Pharmacy Name
• Pharmacy RAK

 

When a response is received, the system attempts to match the NCPDP ID and NPI to the store. If matched, the fields in the CIS response are saved in a file so that it may be accessed by the applicable applications as needed.

Store Identification

Added the following fields to the Store Identification screen:

• Pharmacy RAK
• Pharmacy ID
• Enterprise RAK
• Enterprise ID

 

Added a Verify Identifiers button. Select to request the above identifiers be updated by CIS.
