Detect Duplicate RXs

This function is used to detect and delete duplicate prescriptions in the system. You have the option to print a Duplicate Rx Report without deleting the duplicates. If you select to delete duplicates, the options are to delete the oldest prescriptions or the newest.

To detect/delete duplicate prescriptions:

1. Access PrimeCare.
   
2. Click System Utilities. Select Master File Maintenance and click Delete Duplicate RXs. The Detect duplicate RXs screen displays:
   
   
   
3. Check Print Duplicate Rx Report. Click File, Print Setup and select to print to the printer or screen. If you wish to delete duplicate RXs, check Delete Duplicate Rx. The delete options display:
   
   
   
4. Check Delete Oldest RXs or Delete Newest RXs. Click Next. The system automatically detects duplicates and deletes them if selected. The report prints or displays on screen.
   
5. When finished, the following screen displays:
   
   
   
6. Click OK.
