Copy File
The Copy File function creates a backup of the file(s) selected. Files
are copied to the server's hard drive. Files must be backed up before
purging or compressing a file. Do not
skip this step.
When
customer or drug related files are selected to copy, the system automatically
prompts to back up similar files:
To copy files:
- Access PrimeCare.
- Click System
Utilities. Select Master File
Maintenance and click Copy
File. Choose File displays:

- Files are in alphabetical
order. In this example, the Sig (Directions) File is selected. Click
Next.

- The Backup File path
option displays. Note: Click
Use Floppy only if you are
backing up to a diskette. Click Next.

- The backup status
displays. The screen shows the folder where the file is backed up
and the name of the file. The backup file will always have the extension
.bk1. If the NEXT button displays on this screen, this indicates there
is another file that needs to be backed up in conjunction with the
Sig File. Follow the same prompts as the previous file. When complete,
click OK.
