The following example explains how to process a fill list with the following conditions:
These fill lists have been billed:
A fill list drug order is filled for a facility on 12/03/13 by using the Fill button. The prescription number is 6001693. The screen below shows that the system billed the new drug order for both the 11/29/13 - 12/12/13 and the 12/13/13 - 12/26/13 fill lists:
The system adjusts the quantity dispensed on a new drug order only to get it to the end of the current fill list, which in this case is 11/29/13 - 12/12/13 because the current date is 12/03/13. However, if the current date was 12/14/13, the current fill list would be 12/13/13 - 12/26/13.
So, when entering a new drug order on 12//03/13, the system adjusts the quantity dispensed on the Prescription Record to get to the end of the current fill list, even though it bills out for the 11/29/13 - 12/13/13 fill lists which creates a transaction for a quantity of 23 in the above example.
