Add a Charge Account to a Payor

  1. From the Edit Billing Matrix Item screen, click the double arrows to the right of the Charge Account field; the Charge Account scan displays.

  2. Click the drop-down arrow and select either Patient Name or Company.

    The system defaults to searching company names when accessing the charge account scan from the Facility/Unit Billing Matrix. The Charge Account must first be entered in as a Patient/Company Record before it can be selected.

  3. Type the appropriate search criteria and click Find or press Enter. Click to scan through the list.

  4. Double-click the charge account to be added or press the corresponding function key; the system adds the charge account to the payor.
