NCPDP D.0 is the latest version of the HIPAA standard for pharmacy claim transactions. The compliance date for NCPDP D.0 implementation is January 1, 2012. QS/1 has added the necessary programming to support this new standard. The NCPDP D.0 updates will be delivered in a Service Pack in 2011.
This Service Pack is part of routine software maintenance; there will be no cost involved for the D.0 updates. These updates should not impact hardware; however, this is based on individual systems and any release upgrades that may be necessary. Your system must be on at least 19.1 to receive the D.0 enhancements.
