Modified the Electronic Information For New Prescription From The Prescriber hard copy to include the verbiage Brand Medically Necessary if the DAW indicator is 1, the state code is VA and the item is a new prescription.
Added the ability to print the manufacturer's expiration date of each ingredient on the Compound IV Worksheet. From the prescription, click Print, Compound IV Worksheet. The question, Print Expiration Date of each ingredient on Compound/IV worksheet? displays. Click Yes to print the expiration dates below each printed drug and NDC number.
Added a new scan, Verify Message Status Mail Scan, to the Mail Codes screen.
Removed the View tab from the menu bar. Added Preferences to the menu bar File tab. Added the Show Captions option that was originally under the View menu bar to Preferences.
Added logic to AutoFill to create errors if any of the following files contain a note that requires an override or is marked with a do not fill status: Patient, Drug, Doctor, Nurse and Price Code.

Added UPN number and qualifier fields to the Drug Record. This number is required on the 1500 Form when billing medical supplies to Medi-Cal. The UPN number can be up to 19 characters.
Enhanced Clinical Updates to include the First DataBank Medical Lexicon (FML) file for improved drug-disease contraindication checking.
Enhanced the Rx Summary screen so that when an NDC number is entered in the Generic field either by scanning an NDC barcode or manually typing the NDC number in and pressing enter, the system checks the GCN of the generic against the brand when scanning the NDC barcode in the Generic field. If there is a match, the system auto populates the Generic drug field. If there is no match, the system displays the Generic Drug Record Scan.

Added a new Print Option, Use Neg $ Amt?, to the Drug Inventory List. Type YES to print the actual negative dollar value in the Amount column. The value is derived from the negative Qty On-Hand times the ACQ unit cost.

Added the selected printer number and font on the Print Options screen of reports in the green status bar.
Added the ability to pull the new UPN number and qualifier fields when running reports.
Added a new option, Allow Substitution, to the Drug Reorder. The field is checked by default. Deselect the field to indicate to the wholesaler not to substitute this item with another available item. If selected, a Y appears in the Sub column of the table.
Added the ability to add an item to the Drug Reorder. Click the new Add Item To Order icon from the Edit Purchase Order screen. The ability to search for or scan an item is then available. Search for a drug by name, NDC or GCN.
Added new option, Manual Drug Reorder, to the Inventory Options menu. The allows the entire drug reorder to be created manually.
Added the ability to print the barcode for the patient's charge account code on the payment stub when using Statement Format B. To set up, access AR, Options from the horizontal icon bar and check the Charge Account Barcode field under Statement Print Options. This barcode may be scanned to bring up the customer instead of typing in the customer's name when posting payments.
Added a new Print Option, Prt MRN/Stm B, to A/R Statement Format B. Type YES to print the patient's Medical Record Number. Note: Print Option Members Sep must be set to YES in order for the Medical Record Number to print.

Modified A/R Invoice to display the invoice number the payment is being applied to in the Payment Posted box in the Post Payments wizard. If the payment is applied to anything that is current, the verbiage Current Charge displays.

Added a new option, Default Image Path, to Document Settings in Store Control. Type the path to be used as the starting point when browsing for images to link to QS/1 records.

Added a new option, Print Drug Universal Product Number (UPN) and Qualifier (24a), to 1500 Formats under Store Control, Pricing Options.
Added the ability for QDM to produce a picture of a drug that was dispensed once it is in the bottle. The images are saved to a file called SDIMGA. If using Verification in WorkFlow, the image is available in the bottom right portion of the prescription during NDC Verification.
