Added option Miscellaneous 3, to the Acquisition Cost Basis drop-down menu in Price Plans > General Information when in Batch File Updates.

Also for convenience, moved the Report Scheduler from Store Control to the Reports menu.

These reports have been removed from Reports Scheduler as additional input is required, which would hault automation.

Drug Utilization Report

To more effectively analyze drug utilization, added a Print Option, # of Scripts to the following reports. Default = Blank. Type YES to print the Number of Scripts for each drug.

Secondary PCN

To provide more details for secondary carriers in reporting, added a report option, Secondary PCN, to Custom Reports and Data Exports for the Secondary Plan file.

HOA Security Access

To control employee access to create and update HOAs, modified the HOA Access section. Added a Security Access Flag, Add/Update Custom. Changed the Add option to Add Predefined and the Update option to Add/Update Custom. During the service pack update, the HOA settings for each employee will be based on their settings in the previous release. We recommend checking the settings to verify and/or change any options desired.

Increased the number of managed reports allowed to save from 99 to 999. From any report, click Manage to save a report.

For easy reference, added the NDC sent from the prescriber to the ERx hardcopy printout below the drug name.

Lock SIG for Profiled Prescriptions

Limit the access users have to edit SIGs on a prescription.

Added an option, Allow SIG Change on Profiled Rx, to Store Options > Rx Filling. Default = Checked. (Allows access to edit SIG).

Added a Security Access Flag, Edit SIG, under Prescription Access with sub-flags Refill and New/Profiled Rx. Both default to checked which allow a change to a SIG on any prescription.

The ability to edit a SIG is dependent on the Store Level Option, Allow SIG Change on Refill, or Allow SIG Change on Profiled Rx, and the setting of, Edit SIG, in Security Access. Logic

Note: If the Security Access option, Update Prebuilt, is not selected, the SIG Record cannot be updated by going through Access Files (as is currently), regardless of Edit SIG access.

Quantity Authorized for Refill Requests

Choose whether to print the Quantity Authorized or Quantity Dispensed on printed or faxed Refill Requests.

Added an option, Use Quantity Dispensed, to Store Options > Additional Rx Request > Print Options. Default = Checked. If selected, the Quantity Dispensed from the Rx is used. Otherwise, as with previous logic, the Quantity Authorized is used.

Days of the Week for Multi SIGs

For quicker reference, added the days of the week to the right of custom HOAs when entering multi-sigs on the Prescription SIGs screen.

Extended Rx Numbering

Regulations now require pharmacies to maintain ten years of prescriptions in their Pharmacy Management System. Extended Rx numbering is the solution that can be authorized for high volume stores in risk of running out of prescription numbers. The new prescription numbers increase from 8 to 9 digits and lead with your store number followed by a hyphen. Example: 1-23456789 Contact Client Services at 800.845.7558 for information on qualifications and setup assistance.

New Messages in Pharmacy at a Glance

Added the following New Script Standard message types mandated 1/1/2020 to Electronic Information and Tickler Options in Pharmacy at a Glance:

Expanded Patient Record Diagnosis Codes

To integrate more fully with ERx Census Messages, increased the number of diagnosis codes from 13 to 40 on the Patient Record.

Optum PBM Interface

Added an authorization flag for the Optum PBM interface. This optional interface allows patient assessments to be sent to PBMs for hospice patients within the five-day time frame requirement.

VitaMed Interface

Added an authorization flag for the VitaMedMD interface. This optional interface allows ADTs, new orders, and refills to be sent to QS/1. They then accept outbound orders from QS/1.

Lock Refills for C2-C5 Prescriptions

Added capability to fully lock refills for C2-C5 prescriptions.

C2s

While messages can be set for Price Plans to disallow the refill of C2s, the system can now also disallow refills from being entered on the original Rx. Therefore, any errors overlooked during the fill do not result in refills remaining being printed on the label.

C3-C5s

As with the scenario above, the system can also disallow more than five refills from being entered for Refills Authorized.

Logic

For maximum allowable refills, the system checks the Drug Record, then Price Plan, and then Store Level Options. If Maximum Refills is populated on either, the lowest allowed refills between the two is used. If Maximum Refills is 00 on both the Drug Record and Price Plan, Maximum Refills are based on the Store Level Option for that particular drug class.

These Price Plan Messages override Drug Record and Store Level Options.

Store Level Options

Added checkboxes, Allow Refill (defaults) and Maximum # (default), to Store Level Options > Rx Filling. The options are located alongside the previously existing fields: Class 2 Stop Order Date (Days), Class 3, 4 Stop Order Date (Days), and Class 5 Stop Order Date (Days). The Allow Refill option must be selected in order for Maximum # to be enabled. Settings on the Drug Record override these options.

Security Access

Added a Security Access Flag, Update Allow/Max Refills, to Security Access under the Drug Access. Default = Checked.
