HME Documentation - Update the Proof of Delivery Form
Updated the Proof of Delivery Form to print the following information (per drug) on the form to meet current Medicare guidelines. If batching is turned on, all HME documentation items in the batch print on a single form. The form now includes:
Data Fields
RX Number
Delivery Notes
Patient/Caregiver/Representative Signature
Printed Name
Relationship
Reason Why Patient Cannot Sign
Signature Date
Customer Service Representative
Signature Date
The following statement prints at the bottom of the form:
Patient responsibility amounts may differ from stated amount due to insurance regulations, deductible or other factors.
HME Documentation - RX Transaction Updates
Updated RX Transactions to display the status of HME Documents:
HME Doc Required - YES/NO field. It is set to YES when the RX Transaction is marked HME DOC and documents have not been printed. When documents are printed, the flag is set to NO.
HME Doc Pending - YES/NO field. It is set to YES when the RX Transaction is marked HME DOC and documents have been printed. When the patient proof of delivery sign date, physician order sign date, physician order expiration date or lifetime fields are populated, the flag is set to NO.
HME Data Captured - YES/NO field. It is set to YES when the RX Transaction has a status of captured in RX Data Collection file. It is set to NO until captured.
Added fields to the RX Transaction for custom report and data exports:
RXTX - HME DOC
RXTX - HME DOC Required
RXTX - HME DOC Pending
RXTX - HME Captured
Added HME Document Messages to the RX Summary Screen:
The message, HME Documents Required on previous transaction, displays on the RX Summary screen if the last transaction has the RXTX - HME Doc Required set to YES or the RXTX - HME Doc Pending set to YES. The message, HME Documents Pending on the previous transaction, displays on the RX Summary screen if the HME Documents have been printed but one of these fields is not populated: patient proof of delivery sign date, physician order sign date, physician order expiration date or lifetime.
Print Diagnosis on e-Prescription Hard Copy
Added the diagnosis to the electronic prescription hard copy if it was provided by the doctor.
ECS Log Indicators
Added new indicators to display on primary, secondary and tertiary claims on the electronic claims log. The indicators are:
u displays when the third party paid amount + copay amount = the usual and customary amount submitted
z displays when the third party paid amount is a zero amount
n displays when the third party paid amount is a negative amount
Added the following customized report options for the electronic claims file. Add these options with a value of YES to print reports containing only these RXs:
EC-Paid U&C
EC-Paid Negative
EC-Paid Zero
The Filter options include the new indicators.
Patient Value Indicators
Added the ability to display Patient Value Indicators from AmerisourceBergen on the Patient Record. This value also populates on the Rx Summary screen. These value indicators are based on the number of prescriptions filled for the patient.
To update these indicators, access System Utilities, Data Updates, Electronic Data Updates and click Patient Value Update. The Patient Value Update screen displays. The Patient Update Check Time defaults to 12:00AM, but can be changed by the pharmacy. The remaining fields are system-generated. Click OK to update. If a value does not display on the Patient Record after updating, the patient may be new or has not filled prescriptions for the vendor to rate.
The Patient Value Indicator is available for custom reports and data exports.
VFI Statement
Added the Medical Record Number (MRN) to the VFI Statement layout for both the charge account and the patient. The MRN will be used by VFI to generate one statement per patient. Record 03 pulls the MRN from the Charge Account Patient Record if populated. Record 07 pulls the MRN from the Patient Record if populated.
Duplicate Therapy Warning
Added the option, Ignore Dup. Therapy Allowance, to Clinical Checking Setup in Store Options. This option is only available if Duplicate Therapy is checked. NOTE: If Workflow Clinical Checking is turned on, then Duplicate Therapy does not need to be checked.
