Unit-dose Dispenser Export

The Unit Dose Dispenser Diskette program is used by pharmacies with the Baxter Dispensing Unit. The program uses data from the Prescription Transaction File.

To access:

1. Access PrimeCare.
   
2. Click Select Utilities. Select Interface Control, File Export Interfaces and click Unit-Dose Dispenser Export.
   
3. The Select Options display. Use the following to complete:
   

• Date Filled - Select prescriptions filled on a particular date. Type one, several or a range of fill dates. The default entry selects all dates.
  
• Trans Time - Select transactions which occurred during a particular time range. Type one, several or a range of times. The default entry selects all times.
  
• Patient Last Name - Select prescriptions filled for certain patients. Type one, several or a range of patient last names. The default entry selects all patients.
  
• Patient First Nme - Select prescriptions filled for certain patients. Type one, several or a range of patient first names. The default entry selects all patients.
  
• Cycle Fill Rx - Enter YES to select only those transactions with an entry in the Cycle Fill position (4th position of the HOA field) of the Rx Record. Enter NO to select transactions without an entry in the Cycle Fill position of the Rx Record. Type a specific value to select only those transactions with that value in the Cycle Fill position of the Rx Record. Type ALL to select all prescriptions.
  
• Discontinue Code - Select prescriptions to which a certain discontinue code has been assigned. The default entry is NOT #, indicating the discontinued prescriptions will not be selected.
  

4. Click Next. The Print Options display. Use the following to complete:
   

• Baxter Date - Enter a beginning date for the prescriptions to be dispensed.
  
• Baxter Time - Enter a beginning time to be used for evaluation.
  
• Drug ID - Enter which drug number to use. Valid entries:
  
• 1 - NDC Number (11 digits)
• 2 - State Drug Code
• 3 - Lot Number
• 4 - NDC Number (9 digits)
• 5 - Secondary Sku Number
  
• Sort Options - Enter the order in which to sort the records in the export. Valid entries:
  
• A (or blank) - Alphabetical Order by patient
• Any other entry - Room number order
  
• (Q)uan/(D)isp - Enter the quantity calculation. Type Q to use the Authorized Quantity. Type D to use the Dispensed Quantity.
  
• Sort File - Enter YES to resort using the BATCHCOM file. Type NO to omit the resorting step.
  
• Max# Days Out - Enter the number of days for which records are created on the export if you do NOT want to use the Days Supply field form the Prescription Record. The default entry, 999, uses the Days Supply field from the Prescription Record. Type a number 001-998 to use a lesser number of days.
  
• Export Format -Valid entries:
  
• Export Format 1 - Nursing Home/Cycle Fill export build.
• Export Format 2 - Baxter Transaction/Rx Filling export/Medi Data Interface. (Unit Dose Dispenser Diskette) Note: If a 2 is placed in the second position, a different format is used for PRN meds. This is only for disk/export interfaces.
• Export Format 3 - PrimeCare/Fill List Utilities/Fill List Export File. This is used for stores that interface to the Medi-Data Packaging Device which allows only one day's records at a time, regardless of the number in the Days Supply field.
• Export Format 4 - Same as Export Format 2, but pulls four characters of the patient group.
• Export Format 5 - Baxter ATC version based on format 4
• Export Format 6 - Pacmed batch export, format 6P allows PRNs to be exported
• Export Format 7 - Talyst batch export
• Export Format 8 - Exports 75 characters of the SIG
• Export Format 9 - Used to export PRNs
  
• Patient ID - Valid entries:
  
• P - Patient Code
• M - Patient Medical Record Number
  
• Soft Pass Tm - Only used for Synmed. Valid entries:
  
• Y - Allows use of verbiage (Bed, AM, PM)
• N - Requires an actual time (0900, 09:00am)
  
• Send ALL Rx's - Enter YES to send all prescriptions. Type NO to only send prescriptions with a value in the Dispensing Unit # field on the Inventory screen.
  
• Export Path - Enter the path to be used to export the file.
  

• Use NP/PA - Enter YES to send the NP/PA instead of supervising prescriber if linked on the prescription.
